Andrea Orzoff

Andrea Orzoff, an associate professor of history at New Mexico State University and faculty fellow in the William Conroy Honors College, has led the university’s Fellowships Office since 2021. Orzoff helps dozens of students each semester find opportunities to expand their education across the United States and the globe.

The office, housed in the Honors College, serves the entire NMSU community by providing guidance and support to undergraduate and graduate students applying to a wide range of highly competitive national and international scholarship and fellowship programs. These programs include Fulbright and Boren scholarships, as well as programs related to careers in the U.S. government and public service.

Orzoff also provides leadership in the Honors College’s efforts to promote international activities for Crimson Scholars and other motivated students looking to develop their capacity as global citizens.

Orzoff is also the faculty Fulbright liaison as well as the student Fulbright Program adviser. She organizes a yearly Fulbright Week to publicize the awards, and leads multiple faculty and student orientation workshops every year. She works individually with applicants from the beginning of the process, including reading drafts and helping answer questions.
